Sadly, as the zine is no more, we are no longer looking for staff. Many thanks to all those who have helped us over the years.

Staffers work on stories for Crazed every month, earn credits towards free issues with that work, and turn in regular progress reports so we can keep track of who is doing what.

Staff requirements:


	You have to LOVE Rocky Horror. You need to be able to dedicate yourself to the magazine 1-4 hours per week, possibly more during a crunch. You MUST have good communication skills and steady access to the internet/email. You need to be able to answer important Crazed related emails within 24 hours (except during the weekend). You must notify our editor when you plan on being away from email longer than 72 hours so we know to send assignments/etc. to someone else. Call, find a public terminal and email, have someone else call, whatever...please let us know. Reporters must have good followthrough and persistence. Independence (being able to find stories in addition to farmed-out stories) is important too. Benefits are few, but you will have the gratitude of the current staff and subscribers. Staffers go through a 3-month probation period before becoming full members of the staff. After the probationary period, volunteers are comped 1/2 an issue for every one that they contribute to. After one year's service to CI, your subscription is free as long as you work on the staff.

Positions include:

Reporter.
- Reporters hunt out stories and also get story assignments. They follow up with local people who write the stories and send in photos. (Reporters sometimes also directly write stories, but we can't be everywhere.) This job involves a lot of followthrough and communication. Reporters then do a basic edit on the story, fix anything that isn't in our format-style, and send the story to the editor. Reporters are strongly encouraged to pick a geographical region (where they may or may not live) and go seek out stories from casts in that region.

Layout editor.
- Downloads the raw files, assembles them into an issue using Microsoft Publisher, and then uploads the file for proofreading/publication. Previous experience using Publisher/FTP is very helpful.

Starbeat.
- Hunts down and sends in articles on the RH stars.

How-Tos.
- Tracks down and writes how-to articles (costumes, props, tech, makeup, publicity, whatever.we're flexible). Can write own articles or work with other fans who write the actual articles (like a reporter, see above).

Rocky audio/collectibles beat.
- Reviews (or tracks down information/reviews) on new Rocky Horror audio and collectibles, as well as writing reviews of already available audio and collectible items.

Copy editor. Sorry, currently no vacancies! This position is filled (to the brim, babies! And boy does it feel good!)
- Occasional work only: spell- and grammar checks articles, trims for space if needed. Occasionally types up articles that have been scanned in as graphics or turns website pages into articles (con announcements, etc.) Copy editors are strongly encouraged to do other reporting as the work is only occasional.

We also need people to do advertising and publicity.

DEADLINES:
- Our deadline is the 5th of every month. So the next deadline is May 5. Then June 5, well, you get the idea...November deadline is Nov. 10 so we can all recover from Halloween.
